Meet Jenna Needham

Say hello to Jenna Needham, Carlos’ partner in crime. Jenna is a 28 year old fashion lover! Originally from t’up north but now resides with her fiance on the South coast of Bournemouth. She likes to call herself a bit of a modern gypsy! She has moved around a lot and lived in different areas of the country but just before she decided to make the move to Bournemouth to live with Carlos she was working and living in London for 4 years. Have a read of her Q and A…

How did you get into fashion/modelling?

I’ve always been into fashion, even before I worked in it I would spend every spare penny on filling my wardrobe with as many items as I can! But one year while I was living in South wales my life was taking a bit of a turn and I decided randomly to apply for an assistant manager in the Motel store on Park street in Bristol. Everyone thought I was crazy as the job was way lower than both the position and wage that I currently held but it was just one of those feelings that I had to run and jump at…it didn’t feel weird or wrong, just like the universe was giving me a sign! Ever since then I’ve grown with Motel and 8 years later I’m still working for them and getting to know more and more about the fashion industry.
I started my blog around 5 years ago while I was on a trip with work to New York. When I was younger I’d always had a live journal blog (but they weren’t as fashion based back then) so it was really easy for me to get into writing a new blog about what I do, what I wear and what I love!

Who would you say your style icons are?

French blogger and model Jeanne Damas has great style – she always looks effortlessly cool, Eva Chen for her shoe game and for throw back style inspo – 70’s Debbie Harry always looked amazing!

Which brands are you into at the moment (fashion and non-fashion related)?

Fashion wise, Acne (always!) new British brand Rixo which has some gorgeous dresses and a vibe similar to Reformation and a Swedish brand I’ve recently discovered called Rodebjer. I’m also a big fan of & Other Stories for a good high-street fix!

What fashion trends do you expect to see over the next year?

Acid brights were a big story across lots of the SS16 shows including Chirstopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders. I’m not sure its a trend I’ll be wearing but its def going to be a big one! Also lots of suede!

What do you wish more people knew about you and your style?

That my favourite outfit is actually just my lounge wear at home.

What’s a typical day for you?

My day is ever changing which is one of the reasons i love working in fashion. I sell the upcoming collections so generally my working day is setting up for selling the new collections, sourcing new customers, visiting / existing customers. A normal day would generally be chilling at home, going for walks, planning adventures or shopping! I do love to cook at home and we’re not go out party people. We like our creature comforts and blankets!

Where do you see yourself in a year’s time?

In a years time i probably see myself in mounds of wedding prep! Hoping to get married in the summer of 2017 and we all know that’s on the brides shoulders!
